How do I know which program is appropriate?
A Klearmind physician reviews your history, medications, treatment goals, and relevant risks before making an individualized recommendation. An informational call can help explain the programs, but it does not replace the medical evaluation.
What ketamine services does Klearmind provide?
Klearmind provides in-clinic IV ketamine, therapist-office oral ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, and physician-directed at-home oral ketamine for eligible California patients. Klearmind does not provide intramuscular ketamine, nasal ketamine, or Spravato®.
Is someone required to be present during an at-home session?
Yes. A sober, responsible adult must be physically present before dosing and remain with the patient throughout treatment and recovery.
Is therapy included in the oral KAP program?
No. Klearmind's fee covers the medical program and compounded medication for six planned dosing sessions. The participating therapist schedules the sessions and bills separately for therapy services.
Does Klearmind offer around-the-clock support?
No. Secure-text clinical support is available from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Klearmind does not provide 24-hour or on-call emergency services. Call 911 during a medical emergency or call or text 988 during a psychiatric crisis.
Does Klearmind dispense oral ketamine?
No. Klearmind evaluates patients and issues patient-specific prescriptions when medically appropriate. An appropriately licensed compounding pharmacy prepares, dispenses, and sends the medication to the patient's verified California address.
Is ketamine FDA-approved for psychiatric or pain conditions?
No. Ketamine is FDA-approved as an anesthetic. Its use for psychiatric and chronic-pain conditions is off-label.
Compounded oral ketamine is not FDA-approved.
Can I drive after ketamine treatment?
No. Do not drive, operate machinery, drink alcohol or make important decisions for at least 24 hours after treatment, and wait longer if any sedation, dizziness, confusion, visual disturbance, impaired coordination, or other residual effect remains. Follow all individualized instructions provided by the clinical team.
